Updated to 7.0.81, using Windows 7. Now when wwl starts I get the same screens I would ordinarily after an update, ie, updated maps, updated skin installation, etc. Then the program goes through a series of weather station data updates before minimizing itself to the task bar. Any ideas?

What happens if you run Weather Watcher Live as an administrator?

Please try installing the following Weather Watcher Live update over top of your existing installation:
http://www.box.net/shared/0mibtzyhoz1v6mrf6zzh

After running this build, check the error log and let me know if you see any new messages.

The problem remains the same after every update. I'm now using the latest version 7.00.0090.
For completeness I'm using Windows 7 x64, 4 Gb memory, broadband connection, and ww starts with the system. On startup I'm given the option of replacing/combining maps and irrespective of my answer (I always answer combine new with my existing) the next window goes through the process of updating my skins. This whole thing began with version 7.0.81 (if my memory serves.)
Here's the latest log entries:
09,29,2011 17:35:15: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1320 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,29,2011 17:35:15: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1420 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,29,2011 17:35:15: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1560 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,29,2011 17:35:21: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1710 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,30,2011 07:59:37: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1230 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,30,2011 07:59:37: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1320 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,30,2011 07:59:38: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1420 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,30,2011 07:59:38: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1560 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
09,30,2011 08:12:15: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1710 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
10,01,2011 13:17:17: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1230 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
10,01,2011 13:17:17: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1320 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
10,01,2011 13:17:17: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1420 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
10,01,2011 13:17:26: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1560 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)
10,01,2011 13:19:59: Error 13: Type mismatch at line 1710 (modMain.Main) (7.0.90)

So, no joy.

Please export your Weather Watcher Live registry settings and email them to me at Mike@SingersCreations.com. Here are the steps to export the registry settings:

1) Click the Windows Start button, choose "Run...", and enter "regedit" in the run window.

2) Navigate to the following registry key in the left menu:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Weather Watcher Live

3) Right-click on the "Weather Watcher Live" key, choose "Export", enter a file name, and click the "Save" button.
