I also added a splash of color to the hourly, daily, and detailed forecasts!

A special gesture of thanks goes out to EdP.....I used some lines from his skin to fix all the bugs in Marmol English.

Since this skin is being worked on...

The NE images do not match the others. They are are a darker green. I don't recall what they were originally unfortunately.

And I hate to be a nitpicker but imo the Days folder should be under the Images folder and the two different sets of day images should be consolidated under the Days folder.

The NE was made a darker green on purpose. The problem is that the background where the NE is supposed to be is the sunlite Africa part of the globe. Originally, Barba made the NE in blue, but the font was real tiny and the blue blended in with the ocean.

Since I know nothing about editing images, my mother tried her hand in it. The first draft of the new NE was a light green, but the NE was hardly visible, so we had to go with a darker shade. The font was also increased for higher visiblity.

As for the day images, I tried doing what you said, and edited the daily.wtp file to reference the day images in the image folder, but without success, so I changed it back. I noticed in the Stone Soup that the Days folder is not in the Image folder. All I'm really concerned about is that the skin works fine when I'm using it.

Considering that I know absolutely nothing on the programming language associated with skins, it's a miracle that I was able to fix all the bugs without any problems whatsoever.

Oh, ok. Valid points. We rarely get wind from that direction so it wasn't obvious to me until you pointed it out.

Tell mom we said thanks.

Nor is it in the Splendid skin. Well at least we are all consistent.

And a most valid reason that is.

Great job, barba!

The only thing I wish we can change, but I know we can't, is to do something about the moon images. The ones wwe currently have are fuzzy and it is hard to see the change in the phases. EdP uses real moon pics, but if we do that, it will mean making the window bigger and itis already big enough as it is.

I've had fun to see us work together on this project!

The skin will easily accommodate larger moon images. The existing TD width is more than adequate and if the description uses a smaller font the height is available also. I believe the weather.com moon images are 48x48 and if not try 52x52.

I'm going to need some help about this. Like I said before, I know nothing about progrmming a skin other than copying lines from Stone Soup and into Marmol English. But I would love to get the moon images into it! And make a Marmol South for the phases of the Southern Hemisphere. Your script would work for this, wouldn't it?

I DID IT!!!!

Not only did I put the images into the skin, but I also created Marmol South, which show Southern Hemisphere moon phases!

Download the new skins at http://webpages.charter.net/david1970/MarmolEn.zip

You may have a typo. WIDTH="63" HEIGHT="53" Those images are square thus the two values should be equal. And their natural size is 55x55.

Good thing I updated Stone Soup's code recently. The prior code had the moon's images always coming from the Stone Soup forecast skin.

Now that you see how easy it is please don't tell anyone. Many of the visitors here think we're super smart.

BTW Now that you have a South skin you will need to adjust the wind compass to match. In the South the S is at the top of the dial and N at the bottom. (How these people keep from falling off the earth is beyond me. )

I fixed the moon image.

I know that compassess point north toward the magnetic South Pole, but I wonder if the people in metoerology use Northern Hemisphere lingo to places like the Weather Channel and AccuWeather so they have a standard.

Hard to say but if you speak Spanish what does this TWC page tell you?

Here's a webpage that answers the question:

http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/env99/env134.htm

The gist of it is that it my be off, but not enough for us to reverse the compass in Marmol English South.
