Weather Watcher 5.6.28
Weather Watcher is your personal Windows desktop weather station. Automatically retrieve the current
conditions, hourly forecast, daily forecast, and detailed forecast as reported by
The Weather Channel, severe weather alerts from NWS (US only), and weather maps for over 77,000 cities world-wide. The current conditions
can be quickly viewed by holding your mouse pointer over the Weather Watcher system tray icon.
Weather Watcher will allow you to automatically retrieve your weather data at a set interval, display the
current temperature in a customized tray icon, display the current condition image in a tray icon, designate
which weather information is displayed in the Weather Watcher system tray tooltip, convert the weather data
using almost any conversion, display a weather map as your desktop wallpaper, log the weather data in
any format, export the weather data in any format, customize the look of the Weather Watcher interface and
icons via skins, and much more.

- CHANGED: The animated wallpaper option is now disabled in the "Wallpaper" Weather Watcher Options window tab for Windows Vista users. Windows Vista does not include the Active Desktop feature, so animated map images cannot be displayed as wallpaper.
- CHANGED: Remove 1-4 minute intervales from the "Forecast Auto Update Rate" dropdown in the "Auto Update" tab of the Weather Watcher Options window.
- CHANGED: When using the double-click action in the "Tray Icon" tab of the Weather Watcher Options window, Weather Watcher will use the native Windows double-click speed to detect double-clicks.
- FIXED: Updated Weather Watcher downloader (GetFile.exe) to URL encode proxy username and password. This will allow proxy usernames and passwords to contain non-alpha and non-numeric characters (e.g. p@ssword).
- FIXED: Updated various window control colors -- some of the controls were hard to read when different Windows themes were used.
- FIXED: On weather updates, data from outdated servers will no longer be downloaded. This will resolve the issue where the weather data flips backs to a previous time.
