This is probably a silly question.... I my weather data only updates every 15 minutes, then it's pointless to have my wallpaper update more often--right? Thanks. :)

The weather data and map images come from different sources. Both sources are updated at different intervals -- which explains why there are different update rate settings. It would be best to figure out how often your selected map is updated and set the update rate accordingly.
