i just updated to 5.6.27 and it changed my wall paper i had north central us currant suface temp but it loads is satilite instead and when update wallpaper it will sometimes switch precipitation forcast i even uninstalled and reinstalled no change?

Did you verify that the correct wallpaper is selected in the "Wallpaper" tab of the Weather Watcher Options window?

yes i did check to see if it was checked i even selected a diffrent wallpaper and reselcted current surface but no change

Do you have more than one map selected? If so, Weather Watcher Live will cycle through the selected maps on each update.
